MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The worldwide success of his career has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album peaked at the rank of eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. In the following year, he joined Ozuna to record the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina in the following year. Then in 2021, he sang the duet for TINI's streaming top-selling track Maldita Foto. In 2023, the year 2000, the cult hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into a musical household both his parents also are musicians. Interviews with him have described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. In his childhood he was taught to perform on the piano, saxophone and guitar. When his original career plan was to be a veterinarian, His brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban teacher and the end consequence of discovering the talent as a singer altered the course of his life.
