Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez has been a Cuban and American television arbitrator from Caso Cerrado. Born in Havana Cuba Ana moved to Miami when she was just 2 years old accompanied with her parents. Born in Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo is the host of renowned Telemundo program "Caso Cerrado" which was the first Spanish language program nominated for the Daytime Emmy(r) Award. The show was ranked in 2015 as the most popular Spanish-language programming in the 4pm hour across all the key demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. After graduating at Florida International University's political science program, she moved to Havana and lived there for twenty years. After that, she earned her PhD in law at The University of Miami. For 20 years, Polo practiced in Miami. In the end, she obtained her PhD in law at the University of Miami and practiced law for more than 20 years in Miami. Polo appeared for the first time on television in 2001, as part of Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. Her expertise in law was also utilized in other court shows. Literature Accolades and Literary works In 1958, Polo published her novel Los Hijos Muertos. It received the Critic's Prize for Literature and the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute fled Spain for the United States 1960. Polo is an ovarian cancer survivor, often raises funds for this charity and also speaks at various events. She's been an avid proponent for LGBT rights for the majority of her professional career. Her law degree was awarded in 1987 from the University of Miami School of Law.
